The turbo-diesel engine churns out a maximum power output of 186PS at 4,000rpm and a peak torque of 416Nm at 2,000-2,750rpm. This engine is paired to a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The petrol engine is capable of producing 156PS of power at 6,200rpm and a peak torque of 192Nm at 4,500rpm. The n ew Tucson is offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a new 2.0-litre VGT turbo diesel.
